My role model

You know, I think President Obama might be the greatest role model of them all. But what I'm trying to find out is if he's actually that way, or if he's purposely trying to reaffirm American values. He cares about the environment, puts his family first, believes in equality for all (He just signed that bill that mandates that women be paid the same as men). How awesome! That was my little bit of man love

The title is deceiving, I'll tell you right now. I don't want to lie to anyone, making you think this is going to be an interesting post. Because it's not!! I swear!

Anyway. Jackie and Meltang came over today for dinner! WOO! I cooked Chinese New Year dinner, just a day late. I was frantically running around, doing stuff for classes, mailing my envelopes to Germany (See paragraph 3!), and shopping for Chinese New Year food. Cooking was fun! I don't want to get much into it, but it was hectic.

Man, can you believe mailing envelopes to Germany costs 6 dollars?! and mailing with express service is 24 dollars?! I had 4 envelopes to mail and they wanted me to mail it for 24 dollars a piece! That's 100 bucks to apply to research.. I might as well apply to college again!

Okay! I promise to use this more!

I was wondering today what kind of cultural impact amazon.com has had on American society. Every time I watch some kind of movie set in the near future, there seems to be a lot of buying things electronically. Example: The Sixth Day with Arnold Schwarzenegger - he buys milk and food with a computer built into his refrigerator. So I went over to Google and typed in (Impact of amazon.com on American Society). All the search results are Amazon.com: Impact of ______ on American Society! Buy this book now!

Is this ironic? Anyway, I want to post in this more. I want to both provide an outlet for my rants so I don't explode it on people every time I see them. I'm sure you guys don't like that. I also want to become a better writer for myself and for my engineering writing class. Thanks for reading!
