Health Insurance

I haven't blogged in a while, but this health insurance thing has got me all riled up! I may not completely understand the complexities of getting healthy, but why did getting medical help become so complicated? So all this controversy over the public option is kind of retarded.

So let me put out my facts. Health insurance and health care are different things. Take a look at health care's wiki page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care

See all the nice little pictures of doctors, x-rays, and surgery? That's health care, the system that actually provides services to those in need.

Then take a look at health insurance's wiki page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_insurance

It doesn't show any pictures, but what it really should show is a bunch of people in cubicles making phone calls and a couple guys on the top floor laughing their asses off as people live and die at their convenience. I don't go to an office building to get medical care, I go to a hospital! A government plan doesn't mean that health care will be taken over, it means that health insurance will be provided in an ethical manner by the government. I think that would be a vast improvement, if it stops the health insurance companies' unethical practice of cutting off people's health care right when they need it most.

i second that...
i don't really know what's going on... but people deserve to have the chance to see a doctor before they pull out all the paperwork and demand that you figure out a way to pay for it first...

ps how are you doing?
